Individualized Color Analysis
Coralyn Lundell

Individualized color analysis was developed by Suzanne Caygill in the 1940's. Most of the CDI members either studied with Suzanne or have been trained by a Suzanne disciple.

The process for creating a color analysis is as follows:
After an extensive interview to discover as much as possible about the client,  the personal colors are analyzed and each color and fabric is chosen to best enhance that client.  After the personal colors have been determined, if the client is a woman,  her make-up colors are checked to see if they will be compatible with the personal colors selected, and make-up is often applied.  Then dramatic colors, accent colors, subdued colors, neutral colors, prints, textures, and metals are chosen to give the client a large selection of colors to use as a guideline when purchasing a wardrobe.

The values, intensities, color qualities and types of textures of each individual's colors are explained so that there will be harmony in the clothing selected in the future. A large color palette, a shopping fan, and a portfolio of materials is included in the complete color analysis.
